Inverter welding
Tailor-made inverter welders
Compared to traditional models of transformers, tailor-made inverter welders use a technology in which the current is rectified and filtered by a capacitor battery, and then converted by IGBTs into high-frequency alternating current. By powering a high-frequency transformer with a diode bridge on the secondary, it is possible to deliver direct welding current and guarantee the following advantages:
- Eliminate ‘cold’ gaps and ensure a homogeneous, oxidation-free weld seam, also allowing for the welding of light alloys
- Make precise adjustments and reactions, reducing work piece deformation and allowing the use of smaller welding heads
- Ensure longer electrode life
- Eliminate line phase displacement, bringing cosΦ closer to 1
Tre.Ci welding heads, starting with PAT 1, can be fitted with an inverter system, thanks to the wide range of transformers and generators available.
