Transformers welding
Tre.Ci specialises in the in-house design and manufacture of transformers for welding.
Depending on the spot welder, we can manufacture:
- single-phase transformers for AC welders
- three-phase and hexaphase bridge diode transformers, mounted on the secondary side, for DC spot welders
- transformers with or without diodes for medium frequency spot welders
For the construction of these transformers, we only use high grade, low-loss painted or grain-oriented steel, preferring primary winding by means of a double-insulated copper wire or plate; the latter is additionally resin coated during the winding phase.
As for the secondary winding, we always use a copper plate, starting from 15 KVA, which is cooled by circulating water. Once complete, the transformer is impregnated with epoxy resins to eliminate cavities and air bubbles.
All transformers undergo checks and inspections at various stages of construction:
- immediately pressing the primary winding
- before casting the resin, once the transformer is complete with secondary winding and sheet metal
- after dry resin impregnation
- once installed in the machine
The available powers are 2,4,8,13,22,38,45,60,80 KVA single-phase and 15, 40,70,100,220 KVA three-phase.
