Roller spot welder for cylindrical filters
The roller spot welder for cylindrical mechanical canvas filters includes a pre-calendered filter, which is manually positioned on the fixed pin/electrode, and 3 pneumatic units (2 lateral and 1 bottom) that block the filter, bringing it into contact with the pin to set the finished diameter.
In the customised MM5 welder, the top roller, mounted on a motorised, axis-controlled slide, performs a few pre-welded sections and then performs the complete continuous welding. At the end of this process, the filter is automatically unloaded.
The pin/electrode of this welder is interchangeable, so that different diameters can be worked; the length of the filter and the number of pre-welds can be electronically set, to better adapt the machine to the welding requirements.
