Rectified current spot welder
Machine powered by Scara robot
This machine uses components recovered from obsolete machinery, with the aim of giving new life to parts that are still functional in a new rectified current spot welder. To handle the parts, it was decided to use a robot, which manages the welding process, picking up and positioning the plate and threaded pin on the upper electrode, held by a venturi system.
The machine is powered automatically, with 2 circular vibrators feeding the plates and the threaded pin, ensuring an output of around 600 pcs/hour.
Being a part designed for the automotive sector, the machine is fitted with all the necessary sector-specific controls:
- Welding current control
- Crushing off the bosses, using a potentiometric sensor
- Welding pressure, kept constant by a proportional valve coupled to the load cell.
