ELECTRONIC CONTROLS WITH MICROPROCESSOR

There are 2 electronic controls that are applied to our welding machines, specifically the models R1 and R4.

ELECTRONIC COMMAND R1:

Extremely simple and intuitive operation, yet of great power, it can manage all welding machines in alternate current with single-phase input; with 4 buttons it executes all functions; with the first key on the right one selects the parameter to be modified, which is visualised on the LED display next to it; with the second key, one chooses the programme (from 1 to 9) where the parameters are to be memorised; and with the 2 keys on the left, the parameter chosen is increased or decreased.

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS:

  • 9 welding programmes
  • SQUEEZE TIME
  • TIME (1st welding) from 1 to 99 periods
  • CURRENT (1st welding) from 10 to 99%
  • PAUSE (between the 2 welding impulses)
  • TIME (2nd welding) from 1 to 99 periods
  • CURRENT (2nd welding) from 10 to 99%
  • MAINTENANCE

ELECTRONIC COMMAND R4:

The R4 model is a complete command, which can handle up to 4 solenoid valves, can command double spot machines, can dialogue with PLCs and thus handle more heads; it can command roller welding machines, single-phase or triple-phase machines; furthermore, it has a welding spot control that is based on the recording of the electrode head tension during the welding phase, independently of the programmed welding time. Every welding is controlled and compared with 2 limit values, which are set based on standard welding procedures, and every welding that is not included in this threshold, is signalised with an acoustic signal, or with an electric signal that can be developed (stopping of the machine, repetition of the spot, etc.).
All this is operated through a continuous rolling selector, and a key selector with 3 positions:
RUN – in this position, the operation executes the programme set, and if the key is removed, there is no possibility of changing the parameters.

PROG – this allows entering the various modifiable parameters through the rolling selector and to modify or confirm them.

FUNC – special functions. This section includes the unit-counter, the preset unit-counter and the possibility of changing functions; in practice, one can programme the own operation according to the personal requirements, either with the exclusively necessary parameters – working only with those –, or configuring the machine (single spot, double spot, with clamp, with rollers, etc.).

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS (BASE):

  • 20 programmes that can be called up from the front (or 15 through the PLC)
  • SQUEEZE TIME
  • UP/DOWN SLOPE
  • TIME 1st WELDING (from ½ period to 100 periods)
  • CURRENT 1st WELDING (from 10 to 100%)
  • PAUSE
  • TIME 2nd WELDING (from ½ period to 100 periods)
  • CURRENT 2nd WELDING (from 10 to 100%)
  • WELDING TEST
  • MAINTENANCE
